My Experience
I’m not very good when it comes to creating hairstyles and using curlers or straighteners. It is always a HUGE TASK to me. But, that doesn’t mean that I don’t love it. I’m a big fan of tight curls because I seldom get It done right even from the salon. May be because of the texture of my hair.
However, I try to do it myself if I have to because I’m a bit paranoid about getting my hair curled from a salon due to the amount of heat they apply without giving a damn about the damage done to hair.
I have bought 2-3 curling rods before this but those were thicker than the * Alpina* rod which I bought it, when I saw the tutorial on ” Youtube”. The girl mentioned that thinner curling rod is essential to get tighter curls.
Alpina, thin rod is 1.9 cm and due to its small size is very easy to handle. Especially it is travel friendly due to smaller size.
It has two option High and Low of heating. Although it says that the curling iron is heat resistant but you need to be extra careful and switch it to low when it gets too hot.
For me, the low option doesn’t work. So, I turn the rod to high and then curl my hair. If I feel it is getting very hot then I switch it to low and keep it long to get curls.
Thank God, due to its stay cool and heat resistant features, the hair doesn’t burn and the rod switches off as well.
Like all the Hair Curlers, it has a clipper attached to the main rod. So, it can grab the curls. Although, personally I don’t find this feature any useful in the curling rods.
Professional Curling Hot Rod is also very affordable and for Girls who are new to hair curling or styling. It can be used as a learning pad.
I find it very effective to use it because I’m a novice in hair curling, I got Beachy waves, instead of the tight curls.
Though I don’t mind it 🙂
Overall, it is a fine product, especially for travelling and if you have are a begining when it comes to hair curling. Do give It a try!
