Lasting Finish Matte Foundation by Rimmel London

Concealer and Rimmel Lindon – Lasting matte foundation : 

I have applied different concealers underneath this foundation and I feel that it works beautifully if a concealer is applied. The foundation feels very light weight even after concealer primer and stay put as it claims. I have tried it for 8 hours yet. 

I have tried Maybelline INSTANT AGE REWIND® ERASER DARK CIRCLES TREATMENT CONCEALER, NYX HD PHOTOGENIC CONCEALER WAND, taste shape tape concealer but the one that suited most underneath  and complimented this foundation was LA girl HD PRO Concealer. 

Finish: 

The foundation/mousse gives matte finish which changes into powdery matte finish.  It definitely control shines and greasiness as Rimmel London claims. 

Lasting : 

It is a light foundation with an airy mousse texture.  The lasting is different with concealer and without concealer. With concealer, the foundation stay longer and doesn’t budge. However, without  concealer,  it melts off from the corners of the nose, around  & under the lips after 4-5 hours.  

Weather condition: 

I have yet to try it in hot weather conditions but in winters & in mild weather it appears just fine on the skin.

In Pictures: 

It comes really good in pictures especially if a good concealer is applied  underneath. The foundation gives an air brushed effect. 

Recommendation:

Overall, being  a big fan of mousse foundation due to oily and acne prone skin. I would recommend to use it with concealer and primer. But, don’t expect to wear it alone on a textured skin expecting it to be a full coverage as Rimmel London claims.  The claims on the internet labelling Lasting Matte by Rimmel as one of the best foundation for oily skin is not accurate. I find it to be just OKAY foundation and nothing to rave about.

• Suitable for Oily/acne prone skin
• Light weight 
• Pore minimiser 
• Very creamy
• Lasts long with minimum fading in an air conditioned room   

Cons: 

• Not full coverage 
• Doesn’t fully cover the acne marks
• Highlight the dry patches on the skin
• The face needs to be exfoliated for its smooth application
• Doesn’t suit the textured skin
