Step 1: Prepping Your Skin with Water Jelly Hydrating Face Primer from Huda Beauty
For the primer, I used the Water Jelly Hydrating Face Primer from Huda Beauty. It is an excellent transparent face primer that feels incredibly light on the skin. I really like its texture, as it effectively prepares the skin for makeup application, leaving it very smooth.
Step 2: Mesmerizing Eye makeup from Color Harmony Palette of L’oreal
For the eyes, I created a soft brown smokey eye using the Color Harmony palette from L’Oréal. I’ve had this palette for a very long time, and it has stood the test of time. I also love the eyeshades in this palette as you can create so many looks but unfortunately it is discontinued now.
On the eyelid, I applied the Champagne color all over and then used the dark brownish – bronze shades on the outer corner, blending it towards the inner corner. The key is to blend everything well and use a minimal amount of product when initially applying it to the outer corner.
I applied both shades under the eyelid and used the Champagne color under the brow bone to highlight it, further.
Step 3: Eyeliner Drama with Teddy Kajal Pencil from essence Cosmetics
For a sultry liner effect, I opted for the Teddy Kajal Pencil from Essence Cosmetics, the perfect shade of brown. I applied it from the inner corner to the outer corner, creating a wing, and then smudged it slightly for a soft, smokey look. I used the same pencil as a Kajal on the waterline and also beneath the eyes to introduce a touch of dark drama.
Step 4: A Flawless Base with HD studio Foundation from Inglot
For the base, I’m using my favorite HD Studio Foundation from Inglot in shade 84.
It’s an HD studio foundation perfect for oily skin, and it blends seamlessly. Since it’s a darker shade than my skin tone, I don’t see the need to use any color correction on my face. So, if you’re in a hurry, using a darker foundation is a great trick. Additionally, it’s also a very camera-friendly foundation.
The trick is to apply it quickly all over the face to achieve smooth coverage because it has a thin consistency, allowing you to build coverage as desired.
Step 5: Photo Focus Concealer from Wet n Wild – Light Ivory
Since the foundation is darker than my skin tone, to achieve balance, I applied the Photo Focus concealer in the shade Light Ivory from Wet n Wild. It’s an excellent concealer that covers blemishes and brightens the under-eye area, as well as any other areas you intend to use it.
I used it along the length of my nose, under the eyes, and along the smile lines. Then, I blended it gently using a damp beauty blender, essentially pressing the product into the skin.
Step 6 : Chisel Those Cheekbones with Face it Midi Palette from Ofra
For the contour,I utilized the Face It Midi Palette from Ofra in Deep. It is a very user-friendly palette that also includes a highlighter. I applied the contour along the contour lines, such as the cheekbones, temples, and jawline, to define my face in all the right places.
Step 7: Shine Bright with Face it Midi Palette from Ofra
For that Instagram-worthy glow, I used the same Face It Midi Palette from OFRA. I chose a shade that falls between gold and bronze, which looks exceptionally beautiful on brown skin and complements the bold red lip in this makeup look.
A touch on the cupid’s bow, eyebrow bone, and cheeks, and we’re shining bright like a diamond!
Step 8 : Tapping In the Product Studio Finish Powder from Laura Mercier
Now, let’s seal the deal with Laura Mercier Losse Setting Powder. A gentle tap all over, and our makeup is locked in place.
Step 9 : Line the lips with Luscious Cosmetics lip liner
I lined the lips with a neutral lip liner to create a border, preventing the lipstick from bleeding out. I chose Toasted Pink Lipliner from Luscious Cosmetics, which is a beautiful nude pink shade.
Step 10: Bold Lips from Pat McGrath
Now, for the lips, I’m going bold with Elson from Pat McGrath. It is a gorgeous red lipstick and is almost like Ruby Woo from MAC.
Step 11 : Gloss It Up with Number 19 from Vollare Cosmetics
Now, here’s the secret to achieving that fully glossed-up red lip – I used my treasured lip gloss from Vollare. It is a beautiful blood-red shade that complements Elson so beautifully. It transforms the overall look and makes the lips pop even more.
Step 12: Flutter Those Lashes with Maybelline’s Colossal Mascara
And what’s a glam look without some killer lashes? I’m opting for Maybelline’s Colossal Mascara to amp up those eyelashes. It is an affordable and effective mascara that makes the eyelashes look bigger.
