New Years Eve makeup – Shine into 2025 with Glam

Can you believe 2024 is almost over?

In just few hours, we’ll be saying goodbye to another whirlwind year. The holidays are wrapping up, the dread of going back to work is creeping in, and—let’s be real—you’d rather stay in your PJs than worry about New Years Eve makeup for that party invitation staring at you.

Sound familiar? Don’t worry—you’re not alone. We’ve all been there, caught between the comfort of our blankets and the excitement of ringing in the New Year. That’s why I’ve created a no-fail, lazy-girl-approved makeup look that’s as easy as it is fabulous. This New Year’s Eve makeup is your ticket to getting up, glamming up, and shining bright, no matter how much you’d rather stay on the couch.

The best part? It’s a hit every single time—effortlessly chic with a touch of sparkle. Pair it with a sequined dress (check out my pick here) and you’re ready to own the party. Trust me, this look will have you ending the year on a high note—whether you’re hitting the dance floor or just taking cute selfies from your living room!

Steps for New Years Eve Makeup

SKIN SKIN SKINNew Years Eve Makeup

Winter is here, and you know what that means (not Jon Snow ) —skin as dry as, well, (I’ll let you fill in the blank) Hydration is key, especially when we’re aiming for a flawless New Year’s Eve makeup look that lasts all night.

To tackle the dryness, I’ve reached for a K-beauty – SeoulCeuticals Rice Oil for Face. It’s lightweight and creates the perfect canvas for the glam to follow. This is actually my first time trying it, and I have to say—it’s love at first pump! I’ll keep you updated as I test it out more (so, duh, stay tuned, girlies).

The Sexy Silver-Grey Eye Makeup

Ah, now to the focal point of this entire New Year’s Eve makeup look—the sexy silver-grey eye makeup! It’s bold, glamorous, and perfect for a party night.

Ah, now to the focal point of this entire New Year’s Eve makeup look—the sexy silver-grey eye makeup! It’s bold, glamorous, and perfect for a party night. Plus, starting with the eyes means you can clean up any fallout before moving to the rest of your face.

For this sultry look,  grey-silver eye makeup, I have picked the Ingrid Cosmetics Ideal Eyes Palette, which has the perfect shades to create the look I’ve been manifesting—yeah, manifesting! If you can’t get your hands on it (which is quite likely), you can go for the Physicians Formula Shimmering Grey Palette, which is quite similar.

Now, let’s get into the tutorial:

Base Color: I picked the grey shade and applied it all over my lid, concentrating more near the lashes.

Blend, Blend, Blend: Grab a clean brush and blend the edges near the crease. The key is to keep it darker at the base while diffusing the color upward into a soft haze—like a cloud, but make it chic.

Eyeliner: Next, I used the dark shade as eyeliner—yes, it’s that simple! The trick is to start from the outer part of the lower lash line, extend it forward, and then line the upper lash line.

TIP: Leave the inner corners untouched—just focus on the outer part. (Think of it like not revealing all your inner secrets to that guy you want to impress—LOL!)

Then, I used an off-white or cream shade on my brow bone and inner corner to brighten the look.

Now for my favorite part—because I’m a shimmering girl—I added a silver shimmer to the center of the lid to make my eyes pop and complete this ultra-gorgeous makeup look. I loved it so much that I couldn’t resist adding a glitter eyeliner on top of my already-drawn liner, satisfying the makeup addict in me!

Finishing Touches: Swipe on a volumizing mascara or pop on some falsies for extra drama. Then, clean up any fallout with a makeup wipe, set the area with loose powder, and voilà!

This ultra-gorgeous, sexy silver-grey eye makeup is ready to steal the spotlight.

Air brushed Foundation Look

Airbrushed Foundation Look! I used the Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation and applied it with a damp beauty blender, using a super light, feather-like touch. Since we’re aiming for a natural vibe here, less is definitely more—don’t go overboard with the foundation. The coverage was just right for me, but if you feel like you need a little extra, you can always pop on some concealer. For me, it was good to go as is! 🌟

New years eve makeup – Mac Dark Room

Subtle Contour

For a subtle contour, I used MAC Dark Room to create the faintest lines with the tiniest eyeshadow brush.

Guerlain Terracotta The Bronzing Powder

Then, I added a touch of Guerlain blush on top and blended the two together for a soft, chiselled effect. The goal here is to keep the contour natural because we definitely don’t want to overshadow those bold and beautiful eyes!

Highlighter

For the highlighter, I went with the La Perla Divina Highlighter/Shimmer from the cutest powder puff bottle. It’s a gorgeous pink shimmer, and I applied it to all the usual areas of my face. It really complemented the whole makeup look perfectly! If you can’t get your hands on it, try using [insert product name] for a similar glow.

Liquid Lipstick from Ingrid Cosmetics in shade 300 or 105

Lip

Choosing the right lipstick for this look was a battle! I was torn between a nude lipstick and a maroon one. In the end, I went with a gorgeous maroon lip gloss that actually brightened up my face and complemented the entire look perfectly. But as the sun started setting, my heart leaned towards the nude. It made me realize—it wasn’t the lipstick, it was the sunlight! So, I guess both shades work, but I’d definitely go for the maroon lip gloss more.

And there you have it—the perfect New Years Eve makeup look, complete with all the glam and a bang! EASY PEASY.

Happy New Year, everyone!

Wish everything we work hard for, and manifest become a reality in 2025. Here’s to a year filled with happiness and endless possibilities.

Until then, PARTY HARD with this sultry makeup and get ready to turn heads!
