Why a White Dress for Prom?

White is one of the wonderful choice for prom because its dreamy, timeless  and radiates elegance, innocence, and a touch of fairy-tale magic. Plus, it reflects light like no other color, making your skin look luminous in photos.

For teenagers,  I consider it is important to go minimal because trust me you have way much more time to go for the corporate bitch boss look later. Many years down the lane when you will look back you will miss the pure innocence. And what color can reflect innocent sweetness better than white.

Pro Tip: If your dress has embellishments (sequins, pearls, or silver details), let them shine by keeping your makeup soft and fresh otherwise your date will take you down the aisle but if that’s what you want – I’m not judging.

For the base, I would say skip it – lol that doesn’t mean that the makeup has ended – less is more . It means being strategic and just cover those spots that needs to be corrected with a concealer and then using a setting powder on it. I used the Ingot Hd foundation as a concealer which works like magic every time.

Then, to lift the face and make the appearance like a model from run way I used to lifting technique using a concealer as highlighter which was a shade lighter than my skin from LA girl.

Trick : The tip here is to blend it with outing rubbing the lines just blur it so that it does it job without being harsh on the face.

Kiko Blush - Makeup

For the blush I used a soft red blush from Kiko but literally applied it  lightly—just a whisper of color!

Highlighter: For a lit-from-within glow, I went with MAC Dilly-Dolly (my holy grail!) on the cheekbones, nose bridge, and cupid’s bow.

What color eyeshadow for white dress

For the eyeshade, since my dress has silver in it.

I used the pale pink as base and then a pop of pink shimmer on the center of the lid and just a teeny tiny bit on the inner section to open up my eyes. Then I did the silver eyeshade on the lower lash line.

And Instead of harsh black, I used a dark brown eyeshadow with an angled brush for a soft winged effect.

And tada the Prom Makeup for White Dress is done !
