Why water based Foundation should be used?
Oily skin is a mess because of sweat and excess oil on the skin in summers but is very important to know that even in winters, the use of oil based foundations can cause irritation and pimples on acne prone and oily skin tone. Hence at all times these should be avoided.
MY EXPERIENCE
Flawless foundation is the key for a flawless makeup and choosing the right kind is no less than a struggle. It is more so for the problematic acne prone skin.
Few years ago, when I was a novice in makeup, and didn’t know which foundation to use. I made plenty of mistakes using the wrong type for my skin. I’m glad that I tried it because the reviews referred TOTAL CONTROL DROP FOUNDATION under the best foundations for Oily Skin by NYX Cosmetics. However, as I have used both I can safely say that Stay Matte But Not Flat liquid foundation to be far more superior quality than the former.
I use the shade Caramel – 10 in the Stay Matte But Not Flat Liquid Foundation. It is 2 shades darker than my actual skin tone. However, give a beautiful bronzed overall look which looks extremely beautiful, especially if you intend to do a tanned makeup.
It provides a matte effect, minimising the shine on the oily skin, but the longevity depends on the weather condition. Although the bottle appears very small and gives the impression that the brand has ripped you off. The foundation lasts a very long time, even if used regularly.
Although NYX Cosmetics claim that the Stay matte But Not Flat Foundation provides full coverage, I found it to be of medium coverage as my acne marks were not fully covered. However, as it is a bailable foundation the situation is handled after layer upon layer is packed.
The application is very smooth and light due to the water based composition of Stay Matte But Not Flat liquid foundation from NYX Cosmetics. Due to the water based formula, it goes really well against the oily skin tone. I was afraid that it won’t stay put in summers, but it did a fine job for a few hours before disappearing in the skin even in an air-conditioned room.
I didn’t find the staying power of the foundation to be very good.The foundation melts off from the skin in heat and humidity. However, it is a relief that the acne does not trigger if you go in sunlight after applying it perhaps it is because of the water based composition of the foundation.
Overall, a very good alternate for MAC’s high end pro long wear nourishing waterproof foundation without the water proof and lasting power. Stay Matte But Not Flat liquid foundation from NYX Cosmetics would give a matte effect without a pimple on your skin. — Recommended for Oily, Acne prone skin tone
