Bayonetta games

Inspired by Bayonetta from the legendary Bayonetta by PlatinumGames, this aesthetic blends power and high-fashion beauty in a way that feels completely unforgettable.

Bayonetta isn’t just a character from the iconic Bayonetta games; she is the ultimate Umbra Witch. She’s lethal and she’s wearing designer glasses while fighting angels.

So, let’s dive into how to achieve this viral Bayonetta makeup look. Put on the Bayonetta OST (specifically Fly Me To The Moon), grab your brushes, and let’s get snatched.

Which Era Are We Channelling for Bayonetta makeup look?

Before we touch the brushes, we have to talk eras. Just like our own style evolves, Bayonetta has changed through Bayonetta 1, 2, and 3.

  • Bayonetta 1: The OG. Think deep, gothic plums and heavy black smoky eyes.
  • Bayonetta 2: A bit more “high-fashion.” The hair is shorter, and the makeup is sleeker but still incredibly sharp.
  • Bayonetta 3: This is where we see more “berry” tones and a slightly more playful, magical sparkle.
  • Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon → Soft, minimal, almost ethereal

Personally? I’m going for the OG Bayonetta 1- the classic “Lethal Witch”

Step 1: The Snatched & Matte Complexion

The first rule of Bayonetta makeup? We do not do “dewy.” We want a complexion that looks like porcelain—smooth, matte, and untouchable.

For my base, I used Milani high-coverage foundation.Since we’re aiming for that Bayonetta photo filter look in real life. .To ensure it stays bulletproof, set everything with a setting powder from Laura Mercier for a maximum matte effect.

The Contour: Bayonetta makeup palette

Bayonetta has cheekbones that could actually cut glass. You want to use a cool-toned contour—and here is the secret: nothing brown! I actually used a plum shade similar to my eyeshadow. Using a thin brush, I carved out my cheekbones, jawline, and temples, blending upwards to lift the face.

💡 Aicha Tip: If your contour looks “pretty,” it’s not strong enough. Bayonetta’s structure should look intentional, not soft.

Juvias place

Blush & Highlight

Blush might seem a bit girlish for an Umbra Witch, but a little powder blush ties the look together. I used a powder pink blush from Juvia’s Place on the apples of my cheeks, dusting very lightly.

Baked Pink Highlighter

To finish the skin, I used a silver-pinkish highlighter from Maquillaje on the high points of my face. It perfectly matches the overall purple aesthetic and gives that “supernatural” glow.

Step 2: Bayonetta weapon –  Bayonetta Eyes

If you look at any Bayonetta makeup, it’s all about the eyes. This is where you need a solid Bayonetta makeup palette—look for shades like deep plum, burgundy, matte black, and a touch of silver.

Purple Eyeshadow Shimmer

The Shape: We are going for an elongated cat-eye. Take a matte plum shade and wing it out toward your temple, and then use that same shade all over your lid as your base.

The Lower Lash: Don’t ignore the bottom! Apply a bit of that same plum shadow to the lower lash line to create depth.

The Pop: Use a purple shimmer shade right on the middle of the lid to make the whole look pop and give it that multidimensional “Umbra” glow.

The Liner: This is non-negotiable. You need a sharp, jet-black wing. But the real “Bayonetta” secret is the inner corner point. Create a small, precise point at the tear duct. It should look subtle but intentional—it’s what makes your eyes look more “predatory” and powerful.

The Lashes: Apply mascara to both the lashes to give that “spider-lash” effect that defines her character design.

Step 3: Bayonetta makeup black girl

This look is a total vibe on deeper skin tones—the key is all in the pigment. Swap ashy lavenders for high-intensity violets and deep blackberries to really make the eyes pop. For that “snatched” structure, stick to a neutral deep plum contour, and use icy silver highlights instead of  gold or champagne. It melts perfectly into the skin while keeping that lethal, Umbra Witch edge.

Step 4: Bayonetta makeup Girl – Pout

Bayonetta’s lips are never “cute.” They are “controlled.” I love a good 90s-style mauve-nude for a modern Bayonetta makeup girl vibe, but a deep wine red is the classic choice.

Go for a satin finish, it looks more expensive than a flat matte and for more “boss” use a sticky gloss.

Step 5: Bayonetta glasses Glasses

You can’t do this look without the Bayonetta glasses. Seriously. Even if you have 20/20 vision, get some blue-light frames. They frame the “Umbra Wing” eyeliner perfectly.

Step 6: Bayonetta hairstyle tutorial

For the hair, check out a Bayonetta hairstyle tutorial—usually, it’s a high, sculpted beehive bun with those iconic ribbons. If that’s too much, a sleek, slicked-back high ponytail works just as well to keep the focus on the face. The key is polish. Nothing should feel undone.

Bayonetta is from which country ? (Fun Trivia!)

While you’re blending, here’s a little “did you know.” A common search is “Bayonetta is from which country?” While the game is developed in Japan, the setting (Vigrid) is heavily inspired by Europe, specifically Italy. This explains her high-fashion, “Old World” elegance mixed with modern Bayonetta weapons like her four guns (Scarborough Fair, anyone?).

Final Thoughts on Bayonetta makeup look

At the end of the day, the Bayonetta makeup look is more than just products

It allows you to step into a version of yourself that feels more powerful.

This look is about more than makeup – its sharp, and a reminder that you can be both elegant and a total force to be reckoned with.

And most importantly—it’s about knowing exactly who you are when you walk into a room.
