Nude lipsticks are very beautiful due to their natural appearance and look effortlessly chic if you apply it according to your skin tone. Finding the perfect nude lipstick for brown skin beauties is a difficult task as nude lipsticks not suitable for your skin tone wash you out and waste your hard-earned money.
I used to face the same dilemma due to my brown skin as most of the nude lipstick used to make me look sick, as if I had applied a foundation on my face but with trial and error I found, my perfect lipsticks in nude shades. I have made sure to add more drug store brands over here so that you can easily get your pick without spending too much money and even the lipsticks from MAC would last a very long time and is a good investment.
Below are some of my go-to nude lipstick for brown skin for every occasion.
Twig MAC
A famous nude for Indian skin Twig by Mac is a soft muted brownish pink shade which appears like a nude brown on my brown/indian skin. It is similar to Mehr from Mac, but this one is more on the brown nude side.
The formula is very creamy and cushiony and feels extremely hydrating on the lips. Like every other MAC lipstick, you can build it to create a darker shade. As a warm-toned color with satin finished Twig looks extremely beautiful with bold eye shade.
Apart from looking perfect on Indian skin, especially with a darker lip liner, it is gorgeous on every skin tone and is definitely the perfect nude lipstick for brown skin due to its medium-dark mauve pigment and a satin finish.
Morning breeze is a beautiful toffee brown nude shade. It is a very pretty shade from MAC that I absolutely adore for evening looks. It looks really good on my brown skin with yellow undertones and I can even wear it without the lip liner.
It would look great if you wear it alone or with a heavier eye shade and it looks great without a lip liner and it is one of those shades that will look good on every skin tone. Even if you wear it during the day or night, it is one shade that is so versatile and you can play around with it so much. Smokey eye, glitter eye, or plain—- Morning breeze is bomb.
A light medium coral brown shade and the copper undertones in it makes it a as a perfect nude lipstick for brown skin. The texture is super moisturizing and doesn’t feel dry because it is enriched with vitamin E for a matte finish and I found it very hydrating and comfortable on the lips, unlike the matte collection of the other brands. The texture is very smooth and creamy. For maximum beauty I apply it with a darker lip liner.
Maison from NYX – Is it nude lipstick for brown skin?
Maison from NYX is a light chocolate brown shade and comes in a creamy neutral. It is the perfect winter/autumn shade. It has a silky finish and is semi-matte. Although, it is not a traditional nude brown and more like edgy nude, Maison looks very nice on brown skin beauties umm somewhat similar to stone from MAC but with satin finish.
Maison looks great with minimal makeup and you need to do just an eye liner with it to get ready. Being a cool-toned nude, it is easily blendable with other different lipsticks if you wanna try to experiment. Overall, a very nice, different take on the nude and nothing better to try Maison NYX than smoother, expensive brands for this kind of a shade.
In my opinion, Maison will look good on Indian and Olive skin tone only because it might wash out the darker skin tone and scream a lot on pale skin beauties.
Tip: if you apply a red lip liner and then wear Maison over it along with some lip gloss , it will look ethereal.
306 – Ingrid Cosmetics
This is a warm toned chocolate brown nude which looks extremely beautiful on my Indian-brown skin tone. It is richly pigmented and a single swipe is enough, but you The texture is very creamy and hydrating and 306 lasts a long time on the lips too.
It is the classic nude brown lipstick and looks so good on my Indian skin tone. You can wear it without the lip liner and in my opinion it is one such color that you can wear during the day and the evening as well.
Ingrid is a polish brand just like Inglot Cosmetics but is very under-rated despite having gorgeous products.
Because it is very light neutral side, I think in the evening it would look only good if you wear it with dark eye makeup to enhance the overall look. However, a good thing about it is that it is not washing me out completely. I think with a perfect lip liner it would pop out more.
D37- Clinique Chubby Stick™ Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm
Ok, it’s not a lipstick but a subtle tinted lip balm. But the staying power is pretty long and if you wear it with a darker lip liner, it works as a beautiful nude shade. The texture is smooth like a balm and not heavy, which is unlike its heavy thick crayon like appearance. The sheer lip is ideal for everyday look apart from giving hydration to the lips
Super-nourishing balm is loaded with mango and shea butters. Just what dry, delicate lips need to feel comfortably soft and smooth. Natural-looking lip tints have a subtle sheen.
Luscious Cosmetics – Double Dazzle Lip Gloss
Luscious is a local brand and I’m totally a fan of this beautiful brand due to their good quality yet affordable products. I have included Double Dazzle in my list of favorite nude lipstick for brown skin, which is not a lipstick but is my ultimately go – to lip product if I have to go nude on my lips.
Double Dazzle has a very thick glossy formula and the brown shade in it looks extremely beautiful, especially during day time. Being a versatile shade, it brings out the beauty of any matte shade, and can compliment heavy eye makeup look as well. The only downside is that it doesn’t last long, which is expected of a lip gloss . The shimmery texture is very hydrating on the lips and it comes in double shade too.
Mahogany studs by L’Oréal Paris
This is my favorite nude lipstick for brown skin that I wear on a daily basis. Mahogany Studs never fails to amaze me due to its versatility and how it transform from being a daily wear to evening wear and can oomph up a simple look. This warm nutty beauty has made me quite nutty after its beauty 🙂 and the icing on the cake is its creamy, super hydrating formula which doesn’t dry out my lips. The lasting power is fine if you don’t eat or drink anything as it can last up-to 2 – 3 hours. If you want to increase the lasting time then you can use double coats of Mahogany studs.
As Mahogany studs is a brown nude, it looks extremely beautiful on my Brown/Indian skin tone but I think it can look gorgeous on every skin tone due and that is the cardinal point behind the creation of this beauty from Loreal. But, having said that, like all nude lipstick for brown skin, if you wear it with a darker lip liner and apply some lip plumper in the middle, Mahogany Studs will become next level beauty.
