Today’s review is about the matte lipstick NYX SIERRA lipstick a beautiful nude shade. NYX Professional Cosmetics, is a drug store brand and is one of my favourites. Nude lipsticks are a trend these days and has been the colour of choice for modern women. Nude colours are easier to work on almost every lip shape as it is very easy to achieve variety of looks through it due to its amazing ability to match up with smoky, shimmery or neutral eye.

Aicha’s Experience of nyx sierra lipstick
Sierra from NYX professional cosmetics is a beautiful coral shade with brown undertones, it comes as a perfect nude shade on the brown skin. I’m aware of the fact that most of the brown skin girls struggle a lot in finding the right shade of nude lip colours which complement their skin tones and, no doubt, it is a daunting task as some of them are either too chalky or too dark and muddy on our complexion.
I, too have been enamoured by the red carpet trend of beautiful nude lips and been on the hunt for a nude perfect nude shade for myself and after wasting a lot of time and money in the process, I finally found Sierra by a stroke of luck which fortunately ticked all the boxes for a perfect nude lip colour.

For long, I wanted to get my hands on the much admired lip colour from high-end brand but as it was always out of stock, here. I began my search for a similar shade and Sierra from nyx cosmetics came much closer to it, which prompted me to purchase it, asap (by the way it has gone out of stock too, however you can still purchase it, online in Pakistan, from the link given down below). It came in a cute, black plastic tube which was transparent from the middle to show the actual colour just like other lipstick in the same range.
When I applied Sierra alone, without a lip liner, it washed me out completely perhaps due to the presence of more coral shade in it than muted brown. The result broke my heart, but, thank god, it turned extremely gorgeous when I used it again, along with the lip liner, Urban Cafe from NYX Cosmetics.
The texture is super moisturising and doesn’t feel dry because it is enriched with vitamin E for a matte finish and I found it very hydrating and comfortable on the lips unlike the matte collection of the other brands.
Why a lip liner is important with Nyx Sierra lipstick
I was introduced to the gorgeous lip liner Urban Cafe by NIVII06, because of her love for Urban Cafe lip liner, and also due to the fact that it looked so alluring on her, I purchased it. Now, I also believe that Urban Cafe lip liner truly transforms the nude lipsticks perfect, like magic, especially for the brown skin tone!
Sierra, like most of the nude lipsticks looks lovely with dark/smoky eye makeup, as it accentuates the eye makeup very well. I consider that not only does Sierra look gorgeous in evening but also it is a sophisticated everyday colour for daytime as well.
What is the trick to find a perfect nude lipstick shades?
I believe that the trick in finding a perfect nude is to find a shade that is similar to one’s skin tone, a slightly darker than the skin tone would do well too, but make sure it is not too dark as lighter lip colours wash you out and too dark a colour would kill the purpose altogether.
Overall, Sierra along with Urban Cafe from NYX Cosmetics is the perfect nude as it is an intense, and long lasting lip colour at such an affordable price which makes it a must try.

The texture is very smooth and creamy. It glides easily on the lips and doesn’t feel dry.

Sierra has a satin matte finish.

The lipstick stays on well for 6-7 hours.
